Queensland company partners with Vermeer Corporation

Queensland company Vac Truck Industries has partnered with international industrial manufacturer Vermeer Corporation

Vermeer Corporation has acquired an ownership interest Queensland-based vacuum truck manufacturer Vac Truck Industries (VTI).

VTI was founded in 2017 and serves the markets of civil construction, oil and gas, electrical, infrastructure, mining and drilling, and is currently under the leadership of Matt Clough, Ned Popovic and James Hennessey.

It is based in Arundel, Queensland, and has grown to consist of roughly 45 employees working on sales, design, fabrication, assembly and aftermarket support.

Vermeer is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial and agricultural equipment and is headquartered in the American state of Iowa and hosts regional offices in the Netherlands, Brazil and Singapore with over 600 dealers located around the world.

Vermeer President of Industrial Solutions Doug Hundt says the new partnership with VTI will help enable Vermeer to gain a greater foothold in its Australian and New Zealand markets.

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team focused on the unique solutions needed in the Australian and New Zealand markets with products that meet the most trusted and recognised accreditation in the region,” Hundt says.

“Vac Truck Industries is known for their market-leading products, high levels of quality, excellent customer support and outstanding team.

“We are excited to partner with them.”

Vermeer and VTI will now partner on in-country manufacturing of products.

VTI Founder and CEO Matt Clough says the new partnership is the result of a clear alignment of goals between the two companies.

“What we love most about this partnership is that Vac Truck Industries and Vermeer share key core values,” Clough says.

“We are excited to continue working in the business to serve and support our valued customers while also being able to focus on long-term planning and growth.”
