Qube says focus is now on growing the brand nationally.
Logistics firm Qube has gobbled up Australian Heavy Logistics (AHL) to bolster its presence in the resource services sector.
Qube’s ports and bulk division completed the takeover of the Brisbane-based carrier last month for an undisclosed sum.
AHL services the mining and oil and gas sectors.
“The acquisition enhances Qube’s ability to provide integrated logistics services to the oil and gas, mining, power generation and infrastructure industries,” Qube says in a statement.
“Qube and AHL have been working together on a number of projects in Queensland and this formalises the relationship.”
Qube says AHL’s management team will remain with the company.
“The focus will now be on the delivery of the enhanced service offering to customers and actively growing the AHL business nationally taking advantage of Qube’s national network of strategically located facilities,” Qube says.
It says adding AHL to its ranks means its customers will now have a single point of accountability across the supply chain.
