Event gives women in the trucking industry the opportunity to network with their peers.
The Queensland Trucking Association (QTA) will once again recognise the contribution of women to the trucking industry, with the group staging a breakfast on International Women’s Day.
The QTA will hold the breakfast on March 4 at the East Leagues Club at Coorparoo, just south of the Brisbane CBD, and says it is an opportunity for women to network with their industry peers.
“This event is open to all genders in the Transport, Logistics and Supply Chain Industry (QTA Members and Non-Members) and we encourage you to invite to this event those women (and men, we don’t discriminate) within your business who are supporting and contributing to your success,” a statement from the QTA says.
The director of Russell Transport and the winner of the QTA’s Trucking Woman of the Year, Julie Russell, will be a keynote speaker at the event, along with Bettina Dickenson from Daryl Dickenson Transport.
Those interested in attending the event must register by February 25. Seats have been limited to 200 and have been priced at $45 per person.
Registration forms can be downloaded from the QTA’s website.
