QR National has appointed two new non-executives to
its board of directors.

QR National Chairman John Prescott announced today the appointment of Karen Field and John Cooper to
the company’s
board of directors.

“We are very pleased that Mrs Field and Mr Cooper have agreed to join the board, bringing additional diversity and broad industry knowledge in mining, construction and engineering, and human resource management,” Prescott says.

Field has been in the mining industry for more than three decades and has a background in human resources and project management.

She is currently a non-executive director of a number of listed and unlisted entities, including Sipa Resources, Water Corporation of Western Australia, Sungrid, and MACA.

Field is also a director of a number of community organisations.

Cooper has more than 35 years’ experience in construction and engineering in Australia and abroad.

He chairs Southern Cross Electrical Engineering, and is also a non-executive director with NRW Holdings, Flinders Mines and Neptune Marine Services.

The appointments bring the total number of directors on the QR National Board to nine.
