Qantas Freight has announced a new direct freighter service between Australia and China, starting next week.
A332P2F freighter services will fly between Sydney and Shanghai from June 26, offering greater connections between the two countries’ major cargo hubs.
The twice-weekly services depart on Thursdays and Saturdays, which will mark the first time regular Red Tail A330 freighter flights will operate between the two cities.
Qantas says that “flights have been timed to enable connections from other Australian ports”, which it believes will provide greater opportunities for Australian producers across the country to export their goods internationally.
Qantas Freight currently also offers several other connections across Australasia. This includes both Sydney to Hong Kong (twice weekly) and Perth to Hong Kong (every Friday), Sydney to Auckland (five times a week), with returns from Christchurch to Sydney also five times a week.
