Project London nominated as ALC award finalist

The NHVR, alongside key project partners, have been recognised with an ALC award nomination for Project London

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) has announced that Project London has been nominated as a finalist in for the Australian Logistics Council’s (ALC) innovation award.

As part of the ALC’s summit later this month, the council will be handing out awards in key areas of the logistics and supply chain sector.

The NHVR, who works with the Port of Brisbane, Qube Logistics and the Drake Group, have been nominated for Project London.

The Performance Based Standards (PBS) innovation stacks containers to an Australian-first height of over seven metres, bringing a significant productivity boost when it comes to transporting empty containers from facilities to vessels.

The NHVR says this saves both money and time for operators while ensuring maximum safety.

“We’re so proud to stand with partners the Port of Brisbane, Qube and The Drake Group to celebrate the success of the double-stacked B-triple container combination,” the NHVR says.

“Congratulations to everyone involved – we look forward to continuing to drive innovation and safety within the heavy vehicle industry.”
