Hino supplies fire truck fleet to Philippines

The manufacturers are supplying a fleet of vehicles to the nation’s fire brigade

Hino Motors in the Philippines recently held a ceremony to announce it will be supplying the nation’s Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) with a fleet of brand-new fire trucks.

The ceremony on June 3 was held at the Hino headquarters in Calamba Laguna to announce the partnership between the two groups.

BFP officers led by Chief Supt. Roel Jeremy Diaz accepted the fleet of vehicles from Hino, as partners F. Cura Industries and Hanseo Precision Industry also attended the event due to supplying the fire truck body and special equipment for the fleet.

The 15-unit delivery forms the first part of the initial batch, as 61 units from Hino will be deployed to various BFP units across the Philippines.

The fire trucks are mounted on an FG8J chassis and come equipped with Hanseo Korean-built bodies that run on a Hino J08E Euro 4 electronic control diesel engine.

Hino says its total support philosophy in maximising vehicle uptime while minimising costs serves as an advantage for emergency vehicles.

The vehicle manufacturer says its fleet of trucks is suited to the BFP as it can be deployed in challenging situations and will be running all the time.

Hino says its holistic approach to serving customers starts with the supply of a durable chassis as seen in these new trucks, continuing through a fused body application and extending to training, repair and maintenance.
