Fuso upgrades Canter tipper model

New tailgate and space features will now be included in Canter tipper models

Fuso says it’s upgrading its built ready factory tipper range with a two-way tailgate and additional standard features on its Canter 815 model.

The Canter 815 also now has increased space inside the load area, expanding from 2.4 cubic metres to 2.6 as Fuso is upgrading the safety and load features of the model.

Both the Canter 615 city cab and 815 wide cab tippers can be driven on car licenses, with the headline change for the Canter 815 tipper upgrade being the tailgate.

The new two-way factory tailgate will replace the fixed top-hinged tipper rear tailgate section, meaning customers can fold the rear tailgate out of the way when larger items need to be unloaded.

Both tipper trays for the 615 and 815 Canter tipper models will also feature fold-down sides for extra convenience.

Additional upgrades to the 815 Canter tipper include a hydraulic body lock for safety and stability when loading and unloading machinery, grab handles and steps, rope rails and increased tray capacity.

Both the 615 and 815 tippers also come with a limited slip differential which is ideal for working on slippery and uneven building sites.

The full suite of safety technologies, including the advanced emergency braking system, lane departure warning system and hill-hold brake features are also installed in the 815 Canter tipper model.

“We are happy to respond to Australian demand for a two-way tailgate for the Canter 815 and believe this addition will make it easier for our customers to get the job done,” Fuso Australia director Alex Muller says.

“These upgrades make the 815 an even more attractive proposition. The fact that both trucks can be specified as car-licence models if required means they have a very wide appeal.”

The 615 and 815 Canter tipper models also feature 30,000 kilometre service intervals and a warranty covering five years or 200,000 kilometres.
