Daimler crowned its leading dealers and service managers for 2021
Daimler Trucks has released the winner of the truck dealer of the year award, with Daimler Sunshine Coast taking home the award for 2021.
Sunshine Coast Daimler truck dealer principal Chris Spence was recently surprised with the trophy at a Daimler award event in Melbourne to celebrate the best dealership representing Mercedes-Benz trucks, Freightliner and Fuso brands in Australia and New Zealand.
Daimler Truck Australia president and CEO Daniel Whitehead says: “Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast provides a shining example of customer service and the team has well and truly earned this award with sheer heard work.”
“Remarkable customer satisfaction and strong sales across all three brands means Daimler Sunshine Coast is a worthy winner of the dealer of the year award.”
Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast was also announced as the Fuso regional dealer of the year for 2021, while staff member Victor Dos Santos won the service manager of the year award for both Freightliner and Mercedes-Benz.
“The multitude of awards taken home by Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast highlights the depth of its customer commitment,” Daimler director of aftersales and network operations Greg Lovrich says.

“Whether it be the person out the front helping a customer select the right truck for the job or the person behind the service counter or under the truck in one of the service bays, the whole Sunshine Coast team is working hard to serve customers.”
But Daimler Sunshine Coast didn’t win anything, as the Whitehorse Truck Centre in Dandenong was announced as the Fuso metro dealer of the year for 2021.
Mavin Truck Centre took home the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Trucks regional dealer of the year award, while Daimler Trucks Huntingwood was recognised as the group’s metro dealer of the year.
Daimler Trucks Huntingwood also won the Freightliner 2021 metro dealer of the year award, with Daimler Trucks Albury winning the 2021 Freightliner regional dealer of the year trophy.
In the last of the awards, Daimler Trucks Adelaide was announced as the Daimler Truck financial guild dealer of the year for light and medium duty trucks and Daimler Trucks Laverton was the financial guild dealer of the year for heavy duty trucks.
