South West Isuzu has yet again claimed top honours at the Isuzu national awards
It was the case of a new year but the same result for Western Australia’s South West Isuzu, who was crowned as Isuzu’s national dealer of the year for 2021.
The WA dealer has now claimed the award for three consecutive years after being named as winner in 2019 and joint winner in 2020.
But if South West’s exceptional performance record wasn’t enough, they also came home with the service dealer of the year award for a third straight year to prove they truly are a top Isuzu dealership.
The Isuzu national awards are a chance to celebrate over 70 dealerships nationwide that have allowed Isuzu Australia Limited to maintain a 33-year stint at the top of truck market leadership.
South West’s victory is extra special as the brand also celebrates 50 years of selling trucks in Australia.
The awards are designed to recognise excellence in customer support and performance across all parts of a dealership, including sales, service and parts.
“It’s always a close result between dealers competing in this program, so our congratulations also to Ballarat, Peel Valley and Gippsland truck centre on their sales and parts achievements,” South West dealer principal Darren Sprigg says.
“I always say you need a bit of luck in life and to win something like this, I suppose we have been lucky three times now.”
The victory comes despite the challenges of 2021, which made having enough stock on hand for customers an issue all throughout the year.
“Despite the challenges, the market seems to be going from strength to strength for us here in WA and for Isuzu nationally – it does feel good to be in the position of leading in Australia’s competitive truck segment,” he says.

Isuzu director and chief operating officer Andrew Harbison says he was honoured to present the award to South West.
“To be recognised as a high performing Isuzu trucks dealership, but also as dealer of the year and our service dealer of the year for three consecutive years is an achievement like no other,” Harbison says.
“Our congratulations on a fantastic result, particularly during what was not an easy operating climate in WA last year.”
To complete the awards, the Ballarat dealership took home the sales dealer of the year award for 2021, while Peel Valley and Gippsland truck centre shared the parts dealer of the year award.
It was nothing new for the Ballarat dealership to be winning awards – the regional Victorian dealership has received many prestigious awards from five of the past six years, including dealer of the year and parts dealer of the year in 2020.
