Volvo Group Australia in FM airbag recall

Control unit defect may cause unintentional deployment

Some Volvo FM models in Australia are being recalled over a possible airbag defect.

The airbag control unit may not have been fitted correctly during manufacturing, which could result in an unintentional deployment of the airbag.

“Unintentional deployment of the airbag may lead to a loss of vehicle control,” the recall notice reads.

“This increases the risk of a serious accident and injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.”
