North East Isuzu unveils upgraded super centre

Dealer sees expanded and improved service facilities

North East Isuzu’s Burton service centre has received a major enhancement after 26 years.

The Adelaide premises now comprises 36 service bays, including purpose-built ‘express bays’, allowing improved turnaround time.

The new service bays are equipped with overhead cranes and the latest brake and shaker machines.

A custom engine and gearbox rebuild room and purpose-built tooling room are also fitted with overhead cranes, reducing intensive manual labour for the service staff.

Underground heavy vehicle inspection pits also improve under-body maintenance and repair processes.

North East Isuzu dealer principal Tony Emanuele noted the original service centre had served the dealership for 26 years before its recent revamp, with customer demand outpacing capacity.

“North East Isuzu has grown significantly over the years and so have the needs of our customers,” he said.

“The new facility design was a collaborative effort.

“We’ve collected input from the senior leadership team at North East and coupled it with insight accumulated from our many years of experience catering to the needs of local business.

“The end result is a sophisticated workspace that maximises space and staff productivity, ensuring that we continue to offer customers the very best service and keep their downtime to a minimum.”

Emanuele added the service centre was also built with the intention of providing centre staff an improved working environment.

“Our staff are absolutely loving their new workspace,” he said.

“They appreciate the enhanced lighting and the extra space as well as having all their tools and equipment within easy reach in their respective work bays.

“A purpose-built training room will also ensure we remain at the top of our game.”

Isuzu Australia Limited national service manager Brett Stewart highlighted the importance of investing in aftersales support facilities.

“The new facility at North East is the perfect reflection of the Isuzu Trucks standard, with its state-of-the-art equipment and best practice workspace,” Stewart said.

“We are proud to have dealerships of this calibre representing the Isuzu brand and promise of quality.”
