Mello appointed new general manager of growing Royan
Mark Mello

Truck accident repairer Royan has a new general manager and subsidiary company.

Mark Mello has been appointed general manager Australia, reporting to CEO David Church.

Mello will succeed Steve O’Reilly, who announced his intention to step down once a suitable successor had been identified.

A Royan statement notes Mello is a widely experienced senior executive with a strong commercial and operational track record spanning a 35-year career across Australasia and Asia.

He has a proven track record in truck, bus and military vehicles, having held senior executive roles at Penske Automotive and MAN Automotive and working with brands such as Volvo, Western Star, MAN and most recently the Daimler family of commercial vehicles.

"I am thrilled to be part of a rapid growth organisation that is focused on defining the standard in commercial vehicle accident repair and service," Mello says.

O’Reilly will be staying on with the business in the new role of quality assurance manager.

"We would like to thank Steve for his outstanding contribution to Royans over the many years and we look forward to that continuing in his new role," the company notes.

Established in 1982, the company is located on the north side of Brisbane and specialises in truck paintwork and repairs.

It possesses a 13-metre semi downdraft spray booth along with an eight-metre parts booth.

The facility becomes Royan’s 17th branch in Australia and New Zealand.
