Isuzu Tradepack range in recall over side reflectors

Units up to 15 years old may not meet ADR requirements

Isuzu Australia is recalling more than 8,000 light-duty Tradepack NLR, NNR and NPR Series trucks.

It advises the impacted vehicles have not been fitted with a ‘sufficient quantity’ of side reflectors as required under Australian Design Rule (ADR) 13/00.

“The vehicle may have impaired side visibility under low light conditions, creating the risk of side impact and increasing the risk of injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users,” the recall notice reads.

Isuzu’s dual-control trucks were recalled late last year

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest Isuzu dealer to have the missing reflectors fitted to the vehicle.

The 8,023 affected units were sold between January 1, 2005 and October 31, 2019.

A list of VINs is available here.
