Accelerator pedal on left side may stick in full throttle position
Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) is recalling model-year 2019-2020 FDV and FVY dual control trucks due to potential issues with an accelerator pedal.
When the accelerator pedal on the left-hand side of the vehicle is fully depressed, it may stick in the full throttle position.
This can result in the vehicle accelerating unintentionally.

“Unexpected acceleration may result in reduced ability to control the vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users,” the recall notice reads
Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest Isuzu dealer to arrange for inspection and repair, free of charge.
The impacted vehicles were available for sale from January 1, 2019 to November 30, 2020.
