New Ford Transit recall due to control arm issue

Incomplete weld may lead to componentry fracture

New Ford Transit recall due to control arm issue
This recall follows one on earlier-model Transits

Model-year 2020 Transit and Transit Custom vans are subject to a recall by Ford Australia.

Vehicles may be fitted with front lower control arms that contain incomplete welds, which may lead to fracture of the component.

"A fractured lower control arm joint may separate, resulting in loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of an accident and injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users," the recall notice advises.
