Isuzu issues F Series exhaust defect recall

Nearly 2,000 model-year 2016 units affected

Isuzu Australia FRR 90 and FSR 90 Series trucks are being recalled due to possible exhaust gas leaks.

The issue affects 1,930 model-year 2016 units sold between December 1, 2015 and July 31, 2018.

“The bellows of the exhaust flex pipe (installed between the engine and diesel particulate diffuser filter) may rub on the exhaust flex pipe, causing a hole,” the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) says.

“This may cause an exhaust gas leak.

“Vehicles may not meet the required emissions standards.

Isuzu recently released a new F Series dual-control model

“Owners should contact their nearest Isuzu Truck dealer to arrange for Exhaust Flex Pipe B to be replaced.”
