Polan purchase expands Royans truck repairing footprint

Business swoops on Polan’s Truck Refinishers in south-east Melbourne

Commercial vehicle repairer Royan Group has expanded its Victorian presence with the purchase of Polan’s Truck Refinishers in Dandenong.

The rebrand to Royans Dandenong takes the group to eight branches, with the former Polan facility specialising in light truck repairs.

“Polan’s is a respected family business with experienced staff that operate in a fully equipped repair facility in Dandenong South, and as such, is a perfect fit for the Royan Group,” the company says in a statement.

“The new company, Royans Dandenong P/L, will continue to service the needs of Polan’s customers with the range of good quality work they do, and with a focus on light repairs.”

“Its proximity to Royans Bayswater branch will provide the ability for the two workshops to manage their workloads together to provide efficiency and flexibility for their customers.”

Polan director Bill Polan will continue to manage operations during the transition with a view to retiring from the business in six months’ time.

“After that, it is expected that Bill will be engaged on a contract basis to provide input, expertise guidance,” the statement continues.

Alongside its Melbourne facilities, Royans also has presence in Sydney, Brisbane, Wagga, Dubbo, Newcastle and Wodonga.
