Possible risk seen to electrical frame wiring harness

“Partial failure of the following components cannot be ruled out during vehicle operation: rear lamp unit (including trailer), electrical supply line of the cab and engine control unit (MCM), as well as the anti-lock braking system (ABS) of the rear axle, increasing the risk of an accident,” it says.

The VIN numbers of the affected vehicles are: Unimog U530 – WDB4052222V238761, WDB4052222V242411 and WDB4052222V242416; Unimog U430 4×4 – WDB4051251V248239 and WDB4051252V238748.

Owners are requested to contact any authorised Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Dealership who will inspect the electrical frame wiring harness for damage and repair if necessary.
