American Special Vehicles in RAM recall

Model 2500 and 3500 trucks affected by software issues

RAM model 2500 and 3500 trucks are being recalled for issues surrounding defective software.

Around 860 models supplied between the years 2015 and 2018 in Australia have been affected.

The defective software may interfere with the steering wheel response, causing the wheel to turn in the wrong direction, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) notes.

“This may pose an accident risk for the vehicle occupants or other road users,” it says.
