MAN TGX wins UK award

Fleet Truck of the Year gong for presented as efficiency and low owner costs praised

The MAN TGX was voted Fleet Truck of the Year in the 2018 Motor Transport Awards, run by the British magazine of the same name earlier this month.

Judged by an independent panel of experts, the awards celebrate industry achievements and recognise innovation and efficiency.

MAN Truck & Bus UK managing director Thomas Hemmerich says he views the award as a sign that the vehicle, MAN’s dealer networks and its customer services packages are in line with market demand.

“At MAN, we pride ourselves in delivering our customers a range of vehicles that are fuel efficient, technologically advanced, safe and robust, which are supported by a range of customer services that offer real tangible business benefits,” he says.

“The MAN TGX has found favour with countless fleets across the UK and this award helps recognise the fact that we both deliver and support a range of vehicles that our customers can rely on and value”.

Editor of Motor Transport magazine Steve Hobson says the MAN TGX was the winner from a shortlist that included the DAF CF, Scania P-Series and Mercedes-Benz Actros.

“The judging panel, made up of extremely experienced industry professionals, singled out the MAN TGX for its high efficiency, low cost of ownership, excellent parts and service support delivered through a highly focused dealer network, as well as the high levels of driver comfort,” he says, in an announcement released by MAN.

“These are all attributes that make a real difference to truck operators and drivers.”
