Mildura Truck Centre partnership hits 65 years

MaxiTrans relationship with dealership thrives on the test of time

MaxiTrans and Mildura Truck Centre (MTC) are celebrating 65 years in partnership, since signing their first dealership agreement in 1953.

MTC kicked things off back in 1951 when Ken Leake put down a deposit of 10 pounds at the pictured Buronga Service Station on the border of Victoria and New South Wales.

Two years into business, on May 11, 1953, Ken Leake signed his first dealership agreement with Freighter trailers; the beginning of a long and successful partnership. MTC is the oldest dealer relationship in the entire MaxiTrans Dealer Network, something MaxiTrans says is worth celebrating.

MTC dealer principal Glenn Leake commends MaxiTrans, saying the working relationship has fostered growth and success.

“As a family-owned business that has been around for generations, we have experienced substantial growth with the support of MaxiTrans and this is testament to what makes a great working relationship,” Leake says.

Over the years, both MTC and MaxiTrans have witnessed significant industry changes, growth and success.
