Daimlers Somerton dealership gets Elite certification

Whitehead says more truck customers have access to Daimler’s dealership benefits

Daimler Trucks’ Somerton dealership in Melbourne has received Elite Support certification.

The Elite Support initiative is a joint initiative by Daimler Trucks and its dealership network to allow: “maximising vehicle uptime with rapid diagnosis, quality work, consistent communication and optimised parts availability, as well as a premium in-dealership experience”, the company states.

To gain the certification, “Australian Daimler Trucks dealerships must satisfy more than 120 criteria, covering everything from the ability to carry out express assessments to a high standard of workshop elements and the provision of customer amenities such as free Wi-Fi and a comfortable waiting area”.

Having become a part of the Elite Support network, Daimler says it will be able to offer a range of benefits to customers across the Mercedes-Benz, Fuso and Freightliner brands.

“Chief among them is express assessment, which ensures the dealership communicates a preliminary diagnosis on the customer’s truck within two hours of its arrival, enabling them to make an informed business decision,” Daimler says.

Daimler Truck and Bus Australia/Pacific president and CEO Daniel Whitehead is pleased to see the second Elite Support dealership certification.

“It is great to see more Daimler truck customers have access to the range of benefits that Elite Support brings,” Whitehead says.

“Daimler Trucks is the only manufacturer that can offer our customers a one-dealer solution that delivers the best trucks from Europe, Japan and North America to ensure our customers get the trucks they need for every application.

“Elite Support further improves their experience.”

Daimler Trucks Somerton dealer principal Kirstin Hoskin says the team at the dealership is excited to be able to introduce Elite Support.

“Daimler Trucks Somerton is always looking for ways to improve the experience of our customers, so when we saw the Elite Support program, we knew we had to be involved,” Hoskin says.

“We expect our Mercedes-Benz, Fuso and Freightliner customers will all appreciate the improvements that come with the Elite Support initiative.”

Other Daimler Australia Truck dealerships are expected to introduce the Elite Support initiative next year.
