MiX Telematics wins company driver safety award

Company's fleet management system recognised at Australasian industry award

Fleet and mobile asset management services provider MiX Telematics bagged Australasia’s Company Driver Safety Award at the Brake Fleet Safety Awards in Auckland this year.

The company also received commendation for its efforts in the fleet product safety category.

The awards recognise the achievements of those working to reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers and celebrate best practice in managing road risk.

MiX Telematics has gained recognition for its work to help improve customer service and improve fleet safety in Australia.

“Clients across the globe leverage our broad product and service portfolio to drive improvements in driver behaviour, resulting in safer and more efficient operations,” MiX Telematics group COO Charles Tasker says.

“We are very pleased to be recognised for our contribution to making Australasia’s roads safer.”

MiX’s Fleet Manager offering aims to help operators optimise delivery routes to reduce fuel and maintenance costs, while identifying unsafe driving habits.

Users have access to actionable data plus activity timelines to illustrate utilisation patterns in their fleet to boost efficiency and safety levels, the company says.

Its integrated camera system, MiX Vision, provides forward and in-cab facing cameras plus two optional externally positioned cameras, users are also able to use visual evidence in the event of an incident to facilitate driver coaching, repudiate claims and conveniently obtain an accurate inside view of their fleet operations.

The awards were presented by Brake – the national road safety charity that works to prevent road deaths and injuries and support people bereaved and injured in crashes across Australia and New Zealand.
