Combilift spruiks attributes of new electric forklift

Irish manufacturer to join nation’s president in Australasian trade visit

Combilift has launched a new all-wheel drive, electric, multi-directional counterbalance forklift truck, with a lift capacity of 4,000 kg.

The launch of the new Combi-CBE4t comes in advance of Combilift’s participation in Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland trade and investment program visit to Australia and New Zealand as part of the state visit by Irish president Michael D Higgins to Australia and New Zealand.

The Irish of multi-directional forklift manufacturer launched Combi-CBE 4t forklift at the GIS, Lifting, Industrial and Port Handling and Heavy Transport show at the Piacenza Expo exhibition centre in Italy last week.

It is based on the original multi-directional counterbalance forklift truck which Combilift brought to market in 2006.

Previously the electric model was only available up to 3,000 kg.

The all-wheel drive Combi-CBE 4t, coupled with large rubber tyres, allows the truck to work effortlessly indoors and out and to work on all types of terrains.

“This product is a clear example of Combilift’s approach to meeting our customers’ requirements,” Combilift MD Martin McVicar says at the launch in Italy.

“We work with our customers to ensure that the end product meets their needs.

“This forklift is particularly interesting to the Italian market where 93 per cent of forklifts are electric.

The initial enquiry came to us in 2015 and this week we are delighted to launch the Combi-CBE 4t in Italy before delivering it to an Italian customer.

“It will be delivered after exhibition by Euro Assistance, our Italian dealer to Mirrione Legnami, a company specialising in wood products and the timber and lumber industry located in Sicily.

“This is the first Combilift product that Mirrione Legnami has purchased and epitomises the continued growth of sales of Combilift products.”

McVicar extolled the cost effectiveness of new model.

“As a customer focused company Combilift strives to provide our dealers and customers with machines that not only do the job but also save them money.

“By opting for the electric model customers no longer need to allocate space for fuel storage.”

Ongoing maintenance and service requirements were taken into consideration in the design of the new forklift.

“The components used in the design and manufacture of this new forklift are tried and tested in our existing product range,” McVicar says.

“Ease of access to all components allows for greater serviceability and also allows all maintenance checks to be completed quickly, without any inconvenience for the end user.”
