ZF Services to showcase new transmission in Brisbane

ZF marks 30th anniversary with comprehensive product display at the truck show

Vehicle driveline and chassis technology supplier ZF Services is planning an extensive product showcase at the 2017 Brisbane Truck Show.

The display will feature the full range of commercial vehicle parts from its premium brands including ZF, Sachs and Lemförder.

The event will also see the official launch of TraXon, which is ZF’s latest compact, high-efficiency, cost-effective transmission.

TraXon offers 12 or 16 forward gears and up to four reverse gears.

It is suitable for torque requirements of up to 3,400Nm and can be linked to five modules.

The launch is part of ZF Services’ 30th anniversary celebrations in Australia.

The display will also feature ZF’s popular AS Tronic automatic transmission, which will gradually be replaced by TraXon in the coming years.

ZF’s team will offer hands-on demonstrations of the differences between the two units.

Also on display will be the Intarder wear-free brake system for commercial vehicles, which is suitable for both TraXon and AS Tronic.

The Intarder system increases safety and reduces brake wear, brake dust, noise emissions, and maintenance costs by assuming 90 per cent of all braking without involving the service brake.

Products from the Sachs range, which will also be on display, include shock absorbers and clutches that offer optimal endurance and durability for the commercial vehicle sector, while the Lemförder range will feature axle suspensions, wheel suspensions, stabilisation and steering systems.

ZF Services Australia MD Mark Sookias says the 2017 Brisbane Truck Show will be one of the biggest events for ZF as the company completes 30 years in Australia.

“A significant portion of our business in Australia is in the trucking and commercial vehicle sector and we owe much of the longevity of our business to the relationships we have established in this industry,” Sookias says.

“Our stand at the Brisbane Truck Show is a demonstration of our ongoing commitment, not just in original equipment but also in replacement parts and components.”
