Fuso cuts parts prices by over 30 per cent

Huge reduction announced in costs of oil filters, air filter elements, fuel filters, alternators and starter motors

The price of over 10,000 Fuso truck and bus parts will see an average drop of 30 per cent as the company implements a new parts pricing regime.

The pricing change is part of Fuso’s initiative to reduce the total cost ownership for its customers.

Fuso Truck and Bus director Justin Whitford says the pricing change affects some of the “most common consumable parts our customers need”.

The cost of popular items including oil filters, air filter elements, fuel filters, alternators and starter motors has been reduced by between 32 to 61 per cent in comparison to their recommended retail price before July1.

Fuso has also lengthened the service intervals of some “key components” that will continue to remain well within durability parameters.

“The significant changes made to our parts price structure will yield our customers even more savings and further reduce whole of life ownership costs,” Whitford says.

“It’s just another example of Fuso’s support for our long-term business partners.”

Fuso’s parts pricing change follows the introduction of five-year standard warranty for all Fuso trucks, along with a complimentary first scheduled service and safety check.
