AHG rings the management changes

Morris and Ramsay to fill two new positions

Automotive Holdings Group (AHG) has appointed Paul Morris to the newly created role of chief operating officer of franchised automotive and Simon Ramsay to the newly created role of general manager trucks.

Morris will report to AHG managing director John McConnell and will be responsible for all of AHG’s franchised automotive operations in Australia.

Ramsay’s appointment carries responsibility for all of AHG’s state truck operations.

“Paul brings with him more than 20 years’ experience in automotive retail both internationally and in Australia,” McConnell says.

“I am delighted that Paul is joining us as we look to continue our growth in automotive retail and I know he will work well with the team.

“He has extensive OEM experience and extensive operational knowledge of running multiple sites and multiple geographies having recently been the director of operations in emerging markets for Inchcape PLC.”

AHG’s state automotive general managers will report to Morris.

“Over the past few months, I have been reviewing the operations of our truck businesses and have formed the view that there are significant synergies and opportunities to be had by forming a national truck structure for AHG,” Morris says.

“Simon Ramsay has almost 20 years’ experience with AHG and transitions from the role of dealer principal of Daimler Trucks Perth in Western Australia.”

All of AHG’s state truck operations will report to Ramsay.
