Fuso presents Dealer of the Year awards

Whitford and Whitehead praise contribution of dealership network

A “strong” customer-focused dealership network is the reason behind Fuso’s biggest growth year since the global financial crisis.

The comment came from Daimler Truck and Bus MD Daniel Whitehead, who handed out Fuso’s 2016 Dealer of the Year in Melbourne along with Fuso Truck and Bus director Justin Whitford.

The event saw Daimler Trucks Adelaide dealer principal David Reid win the Metropolitan Dealer of the Year title.

Whitford acknowledged Daimler Trucks Adelaide’s improvements in sales and customer service operations following the Fuso Australia’s “significant transformation” last year.

“Outstanding sales growth was a key component of the award, in addition to brand marketing activations and customer service delivery,” Whitford says.

Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast dealer principal Cameron O’Hara won the Rural Dealer of the Year Award.

“Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast has done an outstanding job of selling Fuso trucks, and just as importantly, it has also done a great job of looking after members of the Fuso family,” Whitford says.

Other winners included:

  • Leon Benivento from Daimler Trucks Huntingwood, Sydney, who won the Sales Person of the Year award
  • Muzammil Syed from Hallam Truck Centre in Dandenong, who won the Rookie of the Year award
  • Leon Baker from Daimler Trucks Gold Coast, who won the Parts Manager of the Year award
