New South Wales VGA customers will have a new dealership from December
Volvo Group Australia (VGA) has switched direction in the New South Wales town of Wagga Wagga, realigning its sales and service to Wagga Trucks.
The change comes with the resignation of Wagga Motors from its position as a dealership for VGA after 13 years, stating it is taking a new direction from the Volvo, Mack and UD brands.
“This has been a strategic decision to re-align the Wagga Motors group,” it’s dealer principal Richard Braid says.
“On behalf of Wagga Motors, I’d like to thank Volvo Group Australia for being a fantastic business partner over the past 13 years, and I wish them the greatest success in the future.
“We are fully committed to ensuring the transition to Wagga Trucks is seamless, and the Volvo, UD, and Mack Trucks customers continue to receive the high standard of service that Volvo Group Australia is known for.”
Remaining in the region, VGA has announced a new partnership with Wagga Trucks, a company that has sold used trucks and earthmoving equipment since 1997.
Commencing its new role from December 1, Wagga Trucks will offer new and used trucks from the VGA stable and also provide aftersales service and support via a purpose-built heavy-vehicle workshop.
“Wagga Trucks is extremely excited to partner with Volvo Group Australia as its sales and service agent in the Wagga Wagga region,” Wagga Trucks director Bryce Shaw says.
“Volvo Group Australia has built a reputation for its high standards in trucks and customer service, and that is something we’re proud to uphold in Wagga Wagga.”
Thanking Wagga Motors for their history and wishing them the best in the future, VGA president Peter Voorhoeve says continuing to service in the area was a priority.
“It’s no secret that my mantra is ‘service, service, service’, and I’m a firm believer that customer service is the key to market leadership,’ Voorhoeve says.
“Wagga Wagga is an important regional hub, and for Volvo Group Australia to maintain our market leadership, it’s absolutely critical we partner with dealers who share our values and commitment to customer service, like Wagga Trucks”.
For VGA customers in the area, the new location is 7km or approximately 12 minutes west of Wagga Motors.
