LDV expands G10 commercial van range

New turbo diesel models round out G10 van range for LDV

Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer LDV has expanded its G10 van range with the launch of a turbo diesel variant.

The new six-speed manual and automatic models, which join petrol equivalents launched in Australia last year (reviewed here), are powered by a 1.9-litre engine that produces 106.5kW and 350Nm of torque from 1,800rpm.

Load capacity for the new diesel models remains at 5.2 cubic-metres, or two pallets, and payload for the new G10 vans also remains at just over one tonne.

Accessibility to the load comes through two side sliding doors or optional rear bar doors and on-road safety comes from electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, airbags, roll movement intervention, reverse camera, parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Inside the cab, LDV says the drivers have access to air conditioning, power steering, cruise control in the automatic versions, power windows, electric mirrors, 16-inch alloys, Bluetooth and an audio system controlled by a 7-inch LCD touch screen.

Available to ABN owners from $28,990, LDV Australia general manager Dinesh Chinnappa says the diesel models round out the G10 range.

“The arrival of the diesel opens up a huge chunk of the one tonne van market that was previously closed to the G10,” Chinnappa says.

“The G10 has always been a highly capable fully equipped superbly priced workhorse and the addition of a diesel engine completes the package.

“With its exceptional performance and keen price we expect the G10 will have a significant impact on the Australian van market.”

LDV says it can tailor a vehicle with a number of accessories, such as cargo barriers, roof rack systems, load area lining kits, window kits, tow bars and heavy duty steps, nudge bars, and weather shields.

The G10 is backed by a three year/100,000km warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance.
