Isuzu recalls tow bar package

Certain bolts fitted on N Series models may not be up to scratch

Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has recalled its N Series Isuzu Tow Bar Package models over issues with the parts used.

According to an Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) notice, IAL believes incorrect bolts may have been used to install the Isuzu Tow Bar Package.

They were sold nationally between May 1 and October 24, 2016.

"If the incorrect bolts were used, the tow bar could break free from the chassis of the truck, causing serious injury," the notice says.

IAL says affected owners should contact their nearest Isuzu truck dealership to organise a visual inspection and possibly a replacement of the tow bar bolts.
