Hiab launches new skiploader

New member of the Hiab range targets smaller skip needs

Lift equipment company Hiab has added a new member to its Multilift Futura lineup, unveiling the new MULTILIFT Futura 8 skiploader this week.

Sitting below the 12-tonne skiploader already in the range, Hiab says the Futura 8 skiploader is an 8-tonne offering “that is ideal for urban use within confined city streets.”

Featuring a “completely redesigned lightweight steel construction”, Hiab says the new Futura model “gives more payload without compromising strength, meaning that customers can haul more while saving fuel.”

Hiab’s head of sales, demountables Hans Ekman says the company has designed a skiploader that will “meet the rigorous demands of modern skiphandling.”

“The MULTILIFT Futura 8 can be navigated through narrow city streets with ease,” he says.

“For an 8-tonne skiploader, we’re confident it will deliver new levels of productivity.

“It’s an excellent choice when you are looking to get high performance for a quicker return on investment.”

The new model features a number of safety innovations, such as hydraulic side stops, hydraulic container lock, and safety interlocks, and a modular system of control options.

“Retrofitting is made easy according to changing needs,” Ekman says.

“You will pay only for what you need, and when you need it, be it in-cab, radio remote or outside control, or a customised combination of these.”

Like the new X-HiPro 558, the MULTILIFT Futura 8 skiploader will be exhibited at the IAA event in Hannover, Germany during the week of September 22 – 29.
