Technical experts to line up at ComVec

Quartet of major makes represented in discussions on vehicle developments

 

Isuzu, Scania, Hino and Penske Commercial Vehicles will all present during the two-day conference on new truck model changes and chassis updates at the ComVec 2016 conference, organiser Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA) reveals.

Isuzu Australia chief engineer, product strategy Simon Humphries will discuss the new technology found in the latest releases from Isuzu, and how they fit in with global trends for commercial vehicles.

The presentation will focus on the MY16 F Series medium duty truck range, with new lower displacement engine technology, and the MY16 N Series range.  Both N and F Series feature new transmission technology.

Humphries will also summarise in-vehicle driver assist and safety technology developments.

Scania senior technical product manager Alfons Reitsma will deliver an overview presentation focused on the need for proper interfaces between modern vehicles and body engineering, with special regard for heavy vehicle application. 

Reitsma will show how Scania offers easy integration thanks to connectivity allowing a variety of third party applications to integrate with its on-board body interface systems. 

Hino Motor Sales Australia sales engineer Jeff Gibson will speak on the development of Hino chassis and why the chassis is such an important component to consider in the build of any truck and how the it assists with the overall quality durability and reliability of the customer’s vehicle.

Western Star Trucks and Dennis Eagle Commercial Vehicles GM Mark Gobessi, will provide a detailed view of the upcoming model line-ups for Western Star Trucks, Dennis Eagle Commercial Vehicles and MAN products on offer and how these changes will impact body builders.

ComVec 2016 will be hosted on July 19-20 at the Melbourne Park Convention Centre by Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia’s (HVIA) Southern Region.

The two-day conference and will feature a full program of sessions on the hottest topics affecting the Heavy Vehicle Industry.
