Crown Equipment launches RT 4000 Series

Crown has a new range of stand-up or sit-down pallet transporters

Material handling manufacturer Crown Equipment has launched the RT 4000 Series, a pallet transporter promising operator ergonomics and productivity gains.

According to Crown, the rider pallet truck line ships in stand-up or sit-down models with load capacities ranging up to 2,000kg.

It says the sit-down models offer flexible control arrangements, while stand-up options provide right- and left-hand steering opportunities.

On sit-down models the floorboard is height adjustable by 60mm, the manufacturer says, while on stand-up models the floorboard is “shock reducing” to enhance comfort and a “wraparound, soft-foam lean pad provides further support.”

Crown product engineering development and support manager Michael Croxford says a “focus on ergonomics which optimise operator productivity are a key feature of the new RT 4000 Series”.

“This is evident in the availability of stand-up or sit-down models, and left- or right-handed steering on stand-up models,” he says.

Powered by AC motors developed in-house, the Crown RT 4000 models have a top speed of 12.5km/h, include electronic power steering, and feature the patented Entry Bar Safety Switch system for operator control.

Croxford says “the RT 4000 Series is designed and tested to withstand extreme stresses,” confirming “no exposed plastic parts are used in impact areas.”

“Every model is fitted with a reinforced, 8mm-thick, wraparound steel skirt and steel covers 6mm thick,” he says.

Crown says there are also “extensive range of Work Assist accessories” included in the range, such as beverage holders, clipboards, and storage pockets.
