Volvo Group has picked its current acting chief to remain in the role from June
Volvo Group has appointed Jan Ohlsson as its new executive vice president of group trucks operations, the company’s global truck manufacturing arm.
Currently acting head of group trucks operations, Ohlsson will formally take the position on June 1 and also take a place on the Volvo Group executive board.
Having worked at the company since 1979, the new manufacturing chief has held roles across the division and served across Europe, North America, South America, and Japan.
He has also worked as the head of powertrain production and as the manager of the Tuve factory in Gothenburg, Sweden – an 111,000 square metre facility with 1,800 staff and a production rate of close to 20,000 trucks and 10,000 exported truck kits per year.
