Drake Trailers unveils new AG Widener low loader

Trailer manufacturer has a new trailer designed for the agricultural sector

Trailer manufacturer Drake Trailers has announced a new Quad 4.5m AG Widener trailer for the agricultural sector.

Capable of carrying a payload up to 50-tonne, the new trailer can widen from 2.5m to 4.5m to accommodate large vehicles or wide loads.

“The new quad 4.5m AG Widener low loader has been specifically designed for the transport of extra wide and heavy machinery and equipment used across the agriculture sector,” Drake Trailers says.

“The AG Deck Widener is strong and versatile enough to move the biggest AG gear, but at its smaller size, this tough trailer is perfect for efficient, everyday heavy haulage.”

Drake Trailers says its ability to move vehicles, such as seen in the agricultural, mining, civil, and construction sectors, “is made possible through the company’s own hi-tensile beams and fabricated cross members, all proudly designed and made in Australia.”

“As we have done for over 50 years, Drake Trailers are always adapting to Australia’s ever changing market.

“When we were called on to design something specific for the agricultural industry, we were only too happy to accept the opportunity.”

Featuring the Drake hydraulic suspension system “that optimises stability,” Drake says the trailer is a customisable package that is backed by a reliable support system and spare parts availability.

In the case of Moline Trucking, which just received a model, the trailer can include options such as an extendable frame, self-tracking rear axles, bi-fold ramps, and a 30,000lb (13.6-tonne) winch.

“This Drake 4.5m Ag Widener compliments our range perfectly and our recent acquisition of O’Phee Trailers means we can offer agricultural and construction equipment across the country,” the company says.

Drake Trailers will be displaying a number of models at FarmFest on June 7-9, including the O’Phee 3×4 Ag (4.3 metre) widener and the Drake traditional 3×4 deck widener.

The event takes place at Kingsthorpe Park, just west of Toowoomba, Queensland.
