Fiat Scudo models recalled over brake discs

A few days after recalling Ducato models, Fiat is contacting Scudo owners too

For the second time this week Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Australia (FCA) has issued a van recall, this time the affected vehicles are 2013 Fiat Scudo models.

According to an Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) notice, the Scudo vans are “affected by non-conforming front brake discs”.

“In addition, the windscreen wiper motor may fail.”

The notice says “these defects may result in an accident occurring and causing potential injury to occupants or passerby.”

Sold nationally, FCA Australia says it will notify the owners of the impacted models “who should take their vehicle to a Fiat Professional dealership where the recall will be conducted.”

“Upon inspection of the vehicle by the authorised dealer, it will be determined whether replacement parts will be required,” the company says.

This is the second recall notice issued for Fiat vans this week, and the third in the past six months.
