Iveco says Daily range will expand in 2016

Iveco hopes to continue 2015 growth with new Daily variants in 2016

Iveco is promising new variants in the Daily van and cab chassis range in 2016, after strong performances in the 2015 light-duty van segment.

According to the manufacturer, the year ahead will see the introduction of additional Daily models and new medium-heavy market models, such as the 2016 International Truck of the Year-winning Eurocargo.

The news comes on the back of the Daily’s volume growth of close to 54 per cent in the light-duty van segment and over four per cent in the light-duty truck segment.

Since its launch in mid-2015, Iveco Australia marketing manager Darren Swenson says a pleasing platform has been laid for the Daily, with room for growth.

“Following the launch of the new Daily range in May and arrival of stock in the second half of the year, the result is a solid outcome,” Swenson says.

“Buyer interest in our market-leading 8-speed full automatic models have been particularly strong in both van and cab chassis variants.

“And when combined with the range’s other key features such as powerful yet fuel efficient engines of up to 150kW/470Nm, advanced safety equipment and superior volume and GVM ratings, the Daily is an attractive buying proposition.

“This sales performance gives us confidence that the brand will be able to further improve its position in 2016.”

While numbers dipped in the heavy-duty market, Iveco saw a volume growth of close to 11 per cent in the medium-duty market.

Iveco is promising the launch of new aftersales initiatives throughout the year and an expansion of its dealer network.
