Manufacturer says the CFX-28 is a compact all-rounder for truck, 4x4, caravan and RV use
Cooling equipment supplier Waeco has unveiled the CFX-28, a new portable compressor fridge/freezer for the market.
The Dometic subsidiary says the CFX-28 has been designed to be on-board fridge/freezer when on the road or water as it features a 28.2-litre capacity, a weight of 13.1kg, and the ability to operate on 12 and 24 volts DC and 240 volts AC.
“The CFX-28 is purpose built to fit in trucks and other vehicles comfortably,” Waeco says, pointing to the rearrangement of the dairy shelf, which has resided at the front in previous models.
“The CFX-28 is designed with the shelf at the back so it is more practical for drivers to reach in and grab food or beverages whilst on the road.”
To accompany the launch “a new custom designed quick release fixing kit accessory” that “has a small footprint, no tie-down straps, [and] fast release mechanism” is available, as is an insulated protective cover.
Waeco says the CFX-28’s compressor is suitable for solar applications and has three stages of battery protection.
Including the handles, it measures 342 x 425 x 620mm.
