Zapala launches online warehousing platform

New cloud platform looks to simplify the warehouse and removals industry

Warehousing and removals company Zapala has launched Zapala Go, a cloud-based platform for businesses managing warehousing, relocation and storage.

The scalable solution is compatible with varying business sizes, the company says, and allows industry members to oversee their entire operation from end to end.

“The inspiration for the product came from my own frustration with the outdated and unreliable technology my industry uses to manage the tracking of items — where they have come from, what they are stored in, where they need to go to, and who they belong to,” Zapala founder and CEO Carlos Ferri says.

“It doesn’t seem much to ask to be able to reliably track the passage of goods from one party to another and yet the solutions that were available to us were unreliable, inflexible, paper based and outdated.”

Through an online dashboard, operators can follow jobs live, track storage boxes and containers abroad and in the warehouse, control job and electronic inventories with tags, photos and location data, and see job histories.

Zapala Go can also set up alerts, define user permissions and find items that may have been misplaced along the journey.

The new solution, backed by software company BlueChilli and Blacksheep Capital, is mobile compatible.
