New range of bull bars for Volvo

King Bars releases a new range for Volvo FH and FM trucks, including heavy haulage options.

King Bars has released a new range of Volvo FH/FM bull bars, in three styles.

The new Series 4 bull bars include options capable of push-pull heavy haulage applications.

They involve a steel backing channel, six contact points with the truck, heavy wall posts and 4-inch (10cm) pipes.

"One thing that we take into account when designing a new product is that it not only needs to be practical but it must also suit the aesthetics of the truck, as most vehicle owners are proud of the image that they portray to the public and their clients," King Bars sales manager Craig Macpherson says.

King Bars says the new range can be easily installed, with a template guide and comprehensive fitting instructions supplied with each bull bar kit.

The Pacific Metro bull bars come standard with 4-inch posts, 4-inch pipes top and bottom; front underrun protection system (FUPS)-compatible certificate and plate; 90 tonne rated tow box with a removable 36mm tow pin; and ADR approved LED indicators.

There are also options of 140 tonne, 200 tonne and 240 tonne tow boxes for the heavy haulage applications, as with the Pacific Road Train bull bar.
