Hill start assist function fails to warn driver if key is removed
A recall notice has been issued for 371 Fuso Euro V Fighter FK61 vehicles.
“On affected vehicles, when the Hill Start Assist function is switched-on, the warning buzzer will not operate and warn the driver if the key is removed from the ignition switch,” the notice says.
“If the defect occurs, there is a possibility an affected vehicle may move unintentionally if left unattended and cause damage or injury.”
The trucks had been sold between February 24, 2011 and February 12, 2014 by authorised Fuso dealers, who are to send letters to affected owners.
