Replacement Paccar dealer for Northern Territory
CJD Equipment is expanding

Paccar brands Kenworth, DAF and TRP will now be represented in the Northern Territory by longstanding Paccar Australia dealer CJD Equipment.

CJD already has major dealerships throughout Western Australia and Tasmania.

The move follows the previous NT dealer, Western Diesel Group, going into voluntary administration in the first week of April.

The NT distributor of trucks, trailers, materials handling and earthmoving equipment operated in Darwin, Alice Springs and Cloncurry. Its Cloncurry site has been closed.

Western Diesel is now under administration with accountancy firm McGrathNicol.

"After working with the Receiver, Paccar Australia is pleased to announce that CJD Equipment will take over the Paccar related business of the former Western Diesel Group," says a Paccar statement.

"CJD Equipment will now represent the Kenworth and DAF brands, as well as Paccar Parts and TRP. In doing so, they will continue to provide the high levels of service expected by our customers in the Northern Territory.

"CJD has extensive experience in servicing the heavy duty market in Western Australia and is well positioned to service the Northern Territory transport industry."

On its website CJD – founded in 1974 – says it will have branches in Darwin and Alice Springs, with 24-hour service support.

The company’s other major brands include Volvo construction equipment and Volvo Penta industrial engines.
