Maxiparts Expands into Darwin

Truck parts supplier Maxiparts has announced that it is opening up a new store in Darwin.

The latest in a string of acquisitions and expansions from Maxiparts, the new Darwin store will be open for business in July.

“We have taken the decision to start a Greenfield site in Darwin after the extremely successful start-up of our Mackay site in November 2013,” Maxiparts General Manager Peter Loimaranta says.

“Darwin has changed significantly over the last few years and we believe it is a critical site for anyone wanting to be a truly national operator. We are committed to providing the right service levels to local customers, while also providing national support to larger operators,” Loimaranta adds.

The new site is located at 508 Stuart Highway, Winnellie, and will have over 1,300 square-metres of showroom and warehousing space.

“The store will be based on the model of our Gladstone and Mackay stores, which are having great success in servicing companies involved in major infrastructure, mining and gas projects along with our core business servicing the greater transport industry,” Maxiparts Northern Regional Manager Alan Bianchi says.

Other recent Maxiparts expansions include the acquisition of Ratcliff Transport Spares in Dubbo, and RW International Parts in Wagga Wagga.
