The promotion of Scania President and CEO Leif Östling to the Volkeswagen board has caused a chain reaction at the top of the truckmaker.

Scania’s Executive Vice President and Head of Franchise and Factory Sales, Martin Lundstedt (pictured left with with Scania Australia Managing Director Roger McCarthy), steps into the CEO’s role.

Lundstedt is familiar to Australian trucking media, having helped host a delegation at Scania HQ in Sweden.

Jan Ytterberg, Chief Financial Officer, and Christian Levin, Head of Sales and Services Management, remain in their current positions.

Per Hallberg, currently Head of Research and Development, Purchasing, has been appointed Head of Production and Logistics. He succeeds Anders Nielsen, who has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of MAN Truck & Bus.

New member of the Executive Board and Head of Research & Development, succeeding Hallberg, will be Harald Ludanek, currently Head of Vehicle Development at Volkswagen.

In new positions on the Executive Board, Andrea Fuder has been appointed Head of Purchasing, having been Head of Group Purchasing Interior at Volkswagen, while Kent Conradson has been appointed Head of Human Resources, having been Senior Vice President, Human Resources Support, at Scania.
