Mountain Industries maintenance manager Graham Nash has won the 2010 Craig Roseneder Award for workshop excellence, blitzing a field which included Bunker Freight Lines and Mitchell Corporation.

The award recognises the professionalism of the men and women who work in the trucking industry’s workshops and was presented as part of the 2010 Technical and Maintenance Conference in Melbourne.

Nash says he is an honoured to receive the award and thanked his family, friends and award sponsors.

"The Craig Roseneder Award is an important part of the National Trucking Industry Awards, and I feel grateful to have been considered for it," he says.

As well as a trophy from award sponsor Castrol, Nash receives a scholarship to attend the American Trucking Associations’ Maintenance Council meeting in early 2011 and $1500 in spending money.

Australian Trucking Association (ATA) Chairman David Simon says Nash has a strong commitment to improving the safety and technology of the industry.

"As a member of the ATA’s Industry Technical Council, Graham has been actively working to improve the safety of the trucking industry," he says.

"Graham is also committed to building relationships with customers and suppliers and improving Mountain Industries’ environmental credentials."

Nash competed against Bunker trailer fleet manager Chris Gass and Mitchell Corporation maintenance and asset manager Rob Hodges.

Gass was nominated for his work in implementing trailer innovations, wiring standards and disc brake technology.

Hodges has been credited with improving Mitchell’s bottom line through new asset management systems, a just-in-time spare parts program and performance indicators for suppliers.
