Show award for liquid nitrogen-powered ecoFridge

The MaxiTrans ecoFridge, launched at Melbourne's Truck and Trailer Show in March, has won the Most Unique Show Attraction Award

Following its debut at the International Truck and Trailer Show in Melbourne during March, ecoFridge has won the award for ‘Most Unique Show Attraction’ at the 2010 ITTE Expo Awards.

MaxiTrans used the show to launch ecoFridge which represents a new era in refrigeration transport. Liquid nitrogen powered, it is the most advanced, silent running and emission free solution for cost effective, temperature controlled transport.

According to the award criteria, nominees were assessed on; pre-event promotion; visitor engagement interest; relevance to ITTE’s visitors; and relevance to particular exhibitor product of service.

ecoFridge drew much interest from the large number of refrigerated fleet and owner driver operators who attended the show as well as numerous industry journalists.

Liam Olliff, Sales and Marketing Director for ecoFridge, had flown in especially for the Australian launch and he enthusiastically explained and demonstrated every aspect of the innovative trailer that will allow operators to improve their refrigerated operations as well as reduce their fleet carbon emissions.

In accepting the award on behalf of MaxiTrans, Group Marketing Manager Stuart McMurtrie acknowledged the role of management, engineers and the factory who were involved in bringing to life Australia’s first ecoFridge and believes that the technology will bring many benefits to operators, customers and the industry.

“MaxiTrans thanks the award judges for this honour and their recognition that ecoFridge represents a new era in emissions free, silent transport refrigeration. Thanks also to the hard working Maxi-Cube and ecoFridge engineers who have made this award possible,” McMurtrie says.

MaxiTrans is commencing extensive field trials to confirm the suitability of ecoFridge for local operating conditions prior to making it available for sale.
