Castrol to deliver practical oil solutions

The ATA is banking on its technical conference to deliver practical outcomes following Castrol's release of an interactive CD

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) is banking on its upcoming technical conference to deliver practical outcomes following the release of an interactive CD by Castrol.

Delegates attending the ATA-Australian Road Transport Suppliers Association (ARTSA) Technical and Maintenance Conference will receive the CD, which has comprehensive information on oil products and applications to best suit each type of engine.

ATA Chairman Trevor Martyn says the goal for this year’s conference is to provide practical ideas that delegates can start to implement as soon as they return to work, and the CD will deliver that.

He says the CD has a cost savings calculator to help operators save money by using the correct lubricant and drain periods, as well as a number of other features.

“The CD material includes data sheets and detailed presentations on each of the lubricants, as well as an informative video that will give delegates a good overview on emissions regulations in Australia,” Martyn says.

The CD is intended to accompany a number of informative practical sessions, which are run by industry leaders and equipment suppliers.

The conference will, for the first time this year, include an apprentice day, which offers significant savings to apprentices accompanied by their manager.

The Craig Roseneder Award for Technical and Maintenance Excellence in a Workshop will be presented at the conference’s annual awards dinner.

The conference runs from November 9 to 11 at the Moonee Valley Function Centre in Melbourne.
