Dennis Quinn will head up Cummins’ truck engine business in the South Pacific from March, replacing Ross McDonald who is retiring from the company.

McDonald, who has spent most of his working career with Cummins, will continue with the company in a project management role until the end of 2008.

Quinn brings a wealth of marketing, product planning and engineering experience to the position of General Manager – Automotive for Cummins South Pacific.

Prior to joining Cummins in Australia in 2003, he was Vice President – Global Marketing for Case New Holland’s agricultural business, based in Chicago.

Before that, he was Marketing Director – Asia Pacific for Case Corporation, a role that included extensive work in China. He also served in product planning /management and engineering roles for Case.

Gino Butera, Managing Director – Cummins Pacific Asia, has paid tribute to the work done by McDonald, a 30-year Cummins veteran who has held senior executive positions not only in Australia but also North America, Europe and the Middle East.

“I would like to thank Ross for his enormous contribution to the success of Cummins and the strong position we currently enjoy in the truck engine market in Australia and New Zealand,” he says.
